Every year, on the last Sunday of May, the “Cantine Aperte” event – Open Wineries – allows thousands of visitors to know new wines, meet producers and take part into guided tours in the most beautiful wineries in Apulia. The well-known Apulian winery Varvaglione Vigne & Vini has started the countdown too, and it has scheduled to welcome visitors, tourists and wine lovers into its winery in Leporano – Taranto for this 23rd edition of Cantine Aperte.

LUCA MARONI AWARDS “12 E MEZZO-MALVASIA DEL SALENTO IGP” AS THE SECOND BEST WHITE WINE IN APULIA

The wine expert and critic Luca Maroni awards 90 points to the wine “12 e mezzo-Malvasia del Salento IGP 2013” by Varvaglione Vigne & Vini, that becomes the second best white wine in the Apulian region.

This pleasantness rate – carefully judged by Luca Maroni, a sensorial analyst and one of the best world-renowned experts for the Italian wine – allows the “12 e mezzo-Malvasia del Salento 2013” to be awarded the category Prize.

Such an eminent recognition is going to be granted at the opening event of I Migliori Vini Italiani 2015 – Taranto, during the gala night on 12th 14th June 2015 at Palazzo Pantaleo in Taranto.
