With Prowein, the season for wine fairs is starting up, and just like every year, our wines, our staff and the best of Puglia are off to Germany to take part in Prowein 2018. From March 18 – 20, our wines can be tasted and appreciated by the best in the international wine sector. In Dusseldorf, Varvaglione 1921 wines can be found in two different stands: both HALL 16, STAND 16 E 78 (Luca Maroni) and HALL 16 – STAND 16 A 31 – TABLE 56 (Puglia).
“I am committed to seeing that the Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia (Movement for Wine Tourism, Puglia Region) continues to be the engine for growth in our region’s wine tourism, enhancing the excellent qualities of our winegrowing regions and sharing goals, projects and opportunities.” The First Lady of Varvaglione 1921, Maria Teresa Basile, thus commented upon her election to President of the Movement for Wine Tourism of the Puglia Region on February 22.
This might have been what those who knew Grandpa Angelo and Grandma Filomena were asking themselves. With the experience of their families as their foundation, one Spring day they decided to start a new project together: to build the Varvaglione winery.
